Office for the Protection of Research Subjects (OPRS)

Provides support and oversight to ensure that the IRB and IACUC processes are effectively safeguarding the rights and welfare of human subjects and the welfare of animals • Assists investigators in planning and conducting experiments in accord with the highest scientific, humane, and ethical principles and in conformity with relevant laws, regulations, and policies • Serves as a liaison between investigators and the federal government
