Submitting a Job and Charges


The Northwestern Machine Shop circa 1960 		Projects may be submitted in person, by fax, email, or express mail. Drawings produced in AutoCAD can be accepted in either .dwg or .dxf format. The shop staff is available to discuss a project with you either in the shop or in your lab. Bring a simple sketch and list of criteria and we will take it from there.

Hours of Operation

The Instrument Shop is open for job submissions and consultations from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We are located in the Northwestern University Technological Institute, Room NG 40.

Charges

The hourly rate for all Northwestern schools, academic departments, research centers, and departments is $60.00 per hour, plus material costs. For customers outside of the university, please call for information. All rates are subject to change.
