Limited Submissions Competitions

Limited Submissions competitions are grant or contract opportunities that place a limit on the number of applications that Northwestern can submit either as a pre- or full proposal. Such restrictions are part of the grant announcement.   

The Office for Research has authority for all Limited Submissions (LS) funding opportunities. The Office of Research Development has been given the responsibility and authority to determine which proposals will be allowed to be submitted. Currently, Holly Falk-Krzesinski, ORD Director and Managing Chair (ex officio) of the Limited Submissions Advisory Committee is responsible for oversight/management of the processes and coordinating operations.  

Alden Chang, ORD Research Administrator, manages the electronic announcements, coordinates LOIs and reviews, and is the primary point person for general inquiries about the LS process.
