Ann Adams

Ann K. Adams began as the Associate Vice President for Research Integrity and director of the Office for Research Integrity in February 2008.  Ms. Adams serves in an advisory capacity on a wide range of compliance issues, including institutional and governmental policies and regulations involving the use of human and animal subjects; protection of personal research information; grant submission, management, and contracting, including financial oversight; licensing, commercializing, and/or exporting developed technology; and research integrity, including conflict of interest and scientific misconduct.

Prior to becoming the AVPRI, Ms. Adams was an Associate General Counsel at The George Washington University, where her responsibilities included issues in research administration and compliance.  Ms. Adams also served in Northwestern's Office of General Counsel from 1998 - 2003.  Before joining NU in 1998, she was an Associate with the law firm of Sidley & Austin.  Ms. Adams received her J.D. from the University of Chicago and her B.A. from Lake Forest College.
