How do I get press or broadcast coverage for my research project?

All outside media coverage is handled by the University Relations department.

How do I publicize my event?

Northwestern uses Plan-It Purple, as the central source for calendar information. The Office for Research web site has a feed to Plan-It Purple to receive the calendar items it posts.

How can I get information about my research or event on the OR web site or in OR publications?

To share information within Northwestern's research community, contact Amanda Morris.

Where can I get a Northwestern logo to put on my brochure, in my presentation, etc.?

For copies of the Northwestern logo and guidelines about how it can be used, visit Northwestern University Relations .

Are there special considerations in reporting on ongoing human research?

Reporting on ongoing human research is subject to federal and local regulatory guidance. Any articles reporting on an open clinical trial or any ongoing human subject research that will appear either internally or externally, in print, on a web site, or broadcast must be reviewed and approved by Northwestern's Institutional Review Board (IRB). IRB approval is required prior to the distribution of any article describing an open clinical trial. For more information download the Media Relations Form from the IRB's web site.
