This course provides hands on radiation safety training that is adaptive to the specific use of radioactive materials at NU. The topics that are covered emphasize the safe use of radioactive materials and include:
- Radiation detection and control,
- Practical biological effects of radiation hazards,
- Proper use and maintenance of radiation monitoring devices,
- Effective laboratory surveys and general good house keeping practices
- Procurement of radionuclides and disposal of radioactive waste materials, and
- How to be keep radioactive materials authorization free of regulatory noncompliance.
You will be provided with a certificate following successful completion of the test.
