This course will train new radioactive materials users in the basic skills necessary for handling radioactive materials in the laboratory.  Topics covered by this training include: contamination control, monitoring, and waste minimization.

Duration:

Self-paced (online), approximately 45 minutes.

ONLINE TRAINING:

• Visit your campus Office for Research Safety to pick up a Radiation Worker Packet.  You will be required to sign a log, giving your full name, Net ID, and WildCard ID number.
• ORS will send you a confirmation e-mail once you are registered.
• Go to the University Blackboard site and login with your netid and password.
• After completing the test, mail or deliver the completed Radiation Worker Registration Form (inside the packet) to:
