To log-on the server SAFETY - Set-up procedures for Instant Gloves + CPC Database 

  1. Through the Network Neighborhood, Entire Network, double-click SAFETY. 
  2. Connect to file server "SAFETY" as: Deselect "Connect as guest"
    3. User name: GLOVES
    Password: SAFETY 
  1. Close the login and Network Neighborhood windows. 

Mapping the drive 

  1. Right-click on the Network Neighborhood icon and click on Map Network Drive... 
  2. Select a drive letter. In Research Safety we usually use F:, though most letters will work. 
  3. Once you have selected the letter of choice, type the following in the Path: \\SAFETY\SYS (or select from drop-down list). 

    4. Deselect the Reconnect at logon check box and then click OK. 

Creating a shortcut icon 

  1. Use the Windows Explorer. 
  2. Size the Explorer window so part of the desktop is visible. 
  3. Open up the F: drive (or the drive letter you mapped). 
  4. Open Gloves folder. 
  5. Double-click cpc.mvb. The Open With window pops up. Click on Other and then select mviewer2.exe and then click Open and OK. 
  6. From Windows Explorer click and hold with the right mouse button cpc.mvb. While holding the right mouse button, drag cpc.mvb to your desktop. When asked, select Create Shortcut(s) Here. 

 To log-off the server SAFETY 

Through the Network Neighborhood icon right-click on SAFETY and click on Log Out. 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to a Single User License please log-off immediately after each use. 

To run the Instant Gloves + CPC Database program double-click shortcut 

The title screen contains the following major menu headings: 

Publication Information 
User's Manual 
Gloves + CPC by Chemical 
Chemical by Gloves + CPC 
References 

It is recommended that new users review the User's Manual. 

Through the Network Neighborhood icon right-click on SAFETY and click on Log Out to log-off the server SAFETY.
