Science in Society (SiS), a Northwestern University office dedicated to science outreach and public engagement, was formed in 2008 to promote public dialogue and understanding of scientific issues through programming, special events and media. We work with University researchers, community partners and members of the public, both adult and youth, to facilitate existing projects, develop new initiatives and provide training for researchers in communication and engagement.
