Center for Comparative Medicine (CCM)
Provides quality animal care, promotes animal welfare and regulatory compliance, and trains humane animal care and use in research and education
Conflict of Interest (COI)
Oversees and implements the University’s institutional, research, faculty, and staff conflict of interest policies and procedures
Core Facilities Administration
Provides financial support, administrative oversight, professional development, assessment and communication of shared research resources to advance research
Export Controls Compliance
Ensures that all University activity remains in compliance with an array of federal export control regulations
Innovation and New Ventures Office (INVO)
Fosters innovation and entrepreneurship by helping faculty and students translate technologies through commercialization for public benefit
Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Office
Enables animal research within the regulatory and compliance framework
Institutional Review Board (IRB) Office
Protects the rights and welfare of human participants and equips the research community to conduct ethical human research
Manages the university’s research profiling and networking system
Office of the Vice President for Research
Milan Mrksich is the Interim Vice President of Research. He oversees the University research infrastructure.
Develops and promotes research storytelling and tactical research administrative communications within and outside the university
Bridges disciplines and schools to catalyze interdisciplinary team science and facilitates development of competitive proposals
Research Facilities and Planning
Assisting and advising research faculty to build out and maintain spaces and facilities.
Research Finance and Administration
Working to assist with all human resource and administrative activities related to the Office for Research and the University Research Institutes and Centers.
Fosters research integrity and promotes responsible conduct of research through coordination of training & facilitation of alleged research misconduct reviews
Supports technology and process improvement to make research and compliance easier for investigators and staff
We identify potential hazards and risks in research and find effective, practical solutions
Provides full service sponsored project support from proposal development through project closeout
